In 1990 Martijn kicked off his production career teaming up with David James to form the inimitable Audio Drive. Together they remixed and released for Ms Dynamite, DB Boulevard, Agent Sumo, Eddie Grant, Tom Novy & Defected
Martijn then began working with Mark Knight and another successful partnership was born. It was soon clear that Martijn and Mark had a winning formula, they soon built up a string of high profile remixes, The likes of Soul Central 'Strings of Life' and Ferrer & Sydenham 'Sandcastles' went onto to become House Music Anthems, other MTV co-writes include Mark Yardley of Stanton Warriors.
Martijn’s huge remix of Shapeshifters “Chimes” stayed in Beatport’s Top 5 for over 4 weeks, 2009 will see the release of his rather large remix of Farley & Heller’s “Ultra Flava”
With his solo productions, Martijn has firmly stamped his mark on the worlds dancefloors, crafting a sound which is undeniably funky yet tribal with progressive, tech and electro overtones. His 'The Sureshot EP' was released on Nocturnal Groove and hit it big with the underground heads, closely followed by Martijn’s first major solo release on Phonetic entitled “I Wish You Would” with Luciana. It was a huge anthem in Ibiza during Summer 2006 and 2007 with all the major heroes supporting.
Djing is a big part of Martijn’s life, key gigs include DJ Magazine Arena at the infamous Opening of Space-Ibiza, a residency at Amnesia Ibiza, the Get Loaded Festival in Glasgow alongside James Zabiela, MOS plus regular tours across Europe, USA, South America and Australia…if there’s a good club, Martijn has probably played it!
He also won Best DJ Mix at major UK radio station on Kiss FM’s Friday Night Awards.
