One of 2011's favourite underground records, receiving rave reviews from all four corners of the globe. Anthem has received heavy support from The Freemasons, Hoxton Whores, Robert Owens, Rob Tissera, Eddie Amadour, Alex P, BBCi, Gaydar Radio, Cool FM, MOS, DJ Mag, Fire FM, Billboard USA and Tilllate Mag hailing it as "Pretty Damn Essential stuff" & Avicci meets Erick Prydz.
With a string of emails from Key Radio & DJ's, enquiring whether there would be a vocal version, Phonetic set to the task of finding a song big enough to lift this big instrumental Anthem. With her haunting uplifting vocal Pernille has fast become one of our favourite singers, here at Phonetic HQ. She delivers an amazing performance that takes this record to the next level, already road tested as a rough version, this had the crowd singing the chorus back at a recent Pacha event.
The White Island feedback was second to none, Superstar DJ’s right through to the west end residents hammering it and hailed as a new Pjanoo. The Phonetic phones have been buzzing ever since with DJ’s and labels wanting to get their hands on copies.
// Single of the Month - Tilllate Mag - Lewis Dene
"Pretty damn essential stuff, comes complete with an amazing hands-in-the-air piano break that truly evokes memories of the first time I heard ‘Pjanoo’. 9/10”
// Tilllate Mag Editor - Nice track, could potentially be huge. So when's the vocal then?!
// Billboard USA Ron Slomowicz
I already feel it - without the vocal. Could be this year's "Bromance" This is a BIG summer anthem. Can't wait for the topline
// Tilllate Mag Beat 106fm - Geoff; Right up my street. Feel good house from the top drawer
// DMC - Greg Fenton; Simple yet feeling Anthemic...Killer track!!
// Daily Star - Love this: the sound of summer, and it's BIG!
